Russell Cohen is a litigation partner in Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe, LLP’s San Francisco office, where he focuses on cybersecurity, antitrust and other commercial disputes on behalf of companies and individuals, particularly in the technology sector. He is a member of Orrick’s Cybersecurity & Data Privacy Group, advising clients on cybersecurity planning and response efforts, including utilizing cyber insurance as part of a coordinated, comprehensive strategy for managing and recovering from data breaches. Exclusively on behalf of policyholders, he has pursued claims and litigated complex insurance disputes to recover for cyberattacks and other losses. He speaks regularly in the United States and Canada on cyber risk and cyber insurance and has been identified as a Benchmark Litigation “Future Star.” Mr. Cohen received his undergraduate degree from McGill University and his law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School, Toronto, Canada.
